Peter Matkovich, a course architect that needs no introduction in Southern Africa, joined forces with Gary and together they have created a unique and challenging course that borrows elements from the Biosphere, Parklands and Links formats of the game. Already set in an exceptionally beautiful landscape, the courses many water hazards, indigenous trees and pristine grounds have accentuated the areas natural beauty.

Gary Player has described the site as one of the finest golf courses in the world. The rugged natural beauty of the Karoo has been enhanced by indigenous trees, dams and water features. The large bent grass greens were built and are maintained to the highest standards.
